I was experiencing a lot of buildup and dry scalp in between retwists, so I decided to give the apple cider vinegar shampoo a try. It does not disappoint! I shampooed my locs, then conditioned and oiled my scalp and it was exactly what I needed to not look busted until my next appointment.

This is a great shampoo to have your in stash. I've scaled back to using it once a year; since I only use PR products on my crown, I don't have a lot of build-up. I also found that brushing your locs helps remove any lint so that it doesn't get built up in your locs.

I did my first loc detox using warm water, ACV shampoo, some of the Black Charcoal Shampoo, baking soda and some actual ACV. By the time I was finished soaking my hair and washed it, I noticed a lot of the build up I had was gone and a lot of the lint I was experiencing was gone as well. I’m so grateful

I really do like this shampoo, but I do wish it had more lather. Regardless it cleaned my hair very well, but didn’t feel stripping at all. I would not hesitate to recommend this for locs or loose natural hair.

Since I only use Peculiar Roots products on my locs and they don't leave residue, I only have to use this shampoo once every four months. Just like the rest of their products, this shampoo smells amazing, does a great job cleaning my hair/locs, and doesn't leave residue. This shampoo also isn't as harsh as other ACV products on the market. I love, love, LOVE PR products!
